How to pick up your CSA (or your friend’s CSA if they’re sending you!).

Pick up Hours, locations, and directions

On The farm

Come join us on Tuesdays or Wednesdays to pick up your CSA. In the summers we have a mini-farmers market with our many partners selling their goods, big tables of veggies to choose from, and often some U-pick crops and flower to take home! It’s fun for everyone, kids included!

Time: Summer Hours: 2:30-6:30, Tuesdays and 2:00 - 6:00 Wednesdays. Tuesday and Wednesday pick up from 2-7 in the winter. Winter Wednesdays are unstaffed but you can still get your veggies!

Location and direction: The farm is at 10850 NW Jackson Quarry rd, Hillsboro, OR, 97124.

Please enter the third driveway and park in the parking lot (you’ll see the tents!). Exit the other side of the parking lot and head out the middle driveway.

At the markets:

We currently attend the Hollywood and Orenco Station Farmers’ Markets. They’re both awesome and have a lot of great vendors - it’s worth checking them out even if you pick up on the farm!

Times:

Hollywood Farmers’ Market: Saturdays, 8 AM - 1PM (April through September); or 9:00 AM - 1 PM (October - March). Every Saturday through the main season, 1st and 3rd Saturdays in the winter season (or as specified on their site).

Orenco Station Farmers’ Market: Sundays, 10 AM - 2 PM, mainseason only.

Locations:

Hollywood Farmers Market - NE 47th and NE Hancock Streets, Portland, Oregon.

Orenco Station Farmers Market - In Orenco Station, right across from the New Season’s parking lot.

How to pick up your share:

Our mainseason shares are you choose and on the honor system.

At either the market or the farm you get to choose the veggies you want - I’ll let you know how many for each share size and the signs let you know how much you get per “item” (maybe two tomatoes or a pint of peppers). Salad never counts as an item and is almost always unlimited.

Unlimited items - we invite you to take as much as you, your family, and guests will eat in a week.

Regular items - you’ll choose a number of items (normally 4 -5 for a half, 8-10 for a whole share) from what we have available. Generally, you can take more than one of any item - you can even take all from one item if you want!

Limited items - When items are first coming on or just not at full production we sometimes limit them. That might mean only one per person or for whole shares only. The signs will let you know when this is the case.

Picking up other items at the CSA

Our partners offer items in a variety of ways - some have them set up for you in a seperate area (staffed or unstaffed), some have them for you up by the veggie tent. You’ll learn about where to pick up your extras when you sign up for them!

Generally, we can help you find what you need or help you solve a problem with a missing share - if there is a more complicated problem you’ll probably have to get in touch with the vendors directly.

If you’re sending a friend to pick up, please let them know what additional items you have!

Changing your Pick up Day or location, vacations, etc

At the beggining of the season I’ll ask where you plan to pick up most often. After that, if you want to change your regular pick up location, that’s no problem, just e-mail me!

If you want to change just for a week, no problem for the veggies (you don’t even have to let me know) but you will need to let any partner shares you have know to send your food to a different location.

If you’d like to send a friend, co-worker, family member, neighbor, or whomever that’s wonderful! We’ll be very happy to show them around and help out with any questions!

If you will be on vacation, just let me know and you can pick up extra when you return (or spread it out and get a few extra items for a few weeks if you’d rather).
